I am a prisoner. Locked up in my own cell. The world is the warden.
I can not drink
I want a drink
You drink too much, they say
Your liver is gonna go.

I am a prisoner in my own prison
I can not face them
Demons control me, they say
You are a bad influence, some say
I know not what they know

I am a prisoner in a world I once belonged
I can not walk
I can not get out of the house
You don’t belong here they say
A waste of skin

I am a prisoner gaoled within my mortal coil
I am my own warden
Voices tell me I am useless
They tell me they hate me,
A waste of space

I am a prisoner for all to see,
The world is the warden
I am scared of my own shadow
I am going to burn in hell,
The man with the white collar says

I am a prisoner no one wants
Forgotten by my friends
Unwanted by kith and kin
Banished to the prison that is within me
Loneliness is my companion

I am prisoner,
My conscience is the warden
You can’t say that, I hear it say
You can not do that, the voice says
I know I am no good

I am a Prisoner, no one can save
The dark walls surround me
An abyss I slowly sink into

Locked away in darkness
No one to save me

I am a prisoner, marooned, abandoned
Unseen walls around me
I know not what freedom is’
Float like a butterfly, fight, man fight
There is no fight left in me

Lonely heart

I hear you leap at the mention of her name
I hear you flutter
I feel the joy in your beats
The love is there to feel

My heart leaps up at seeing that vision
When before me she glides
My heart cries out to touch,
For it lives for her love

Pining, longing, loving
Longing to feel her love
A love she knows not,
The cries of a lonely heart

Is it love?
What is this pain?
Her heart belongs to another
My heart longs for a love that will never be

Born of Zeus the Legend says, Great Olympian

Gather in London they do

Bodies finely honed

Each leap year nations leap for Gold

Despots, democracies, enemies, friends sup together they do

Gold they all crave

Price of gold so high

Cruel mixtures are the brain’s torment

Who shall swallow the bitter pill of defeat

Barcol, sorcerers, magicians promise gold

Gold, Silver, Bronze athletes crave

Barcol, sorcerers, magicians are thick in the air

Temptations so hard to resist

Winning is all and all

Oh Olympians! Oh Mighty Zeus

On their knees your children wail

The birthplace can not compete

Price for survival so high

To A Butterfly

STAY near me—do not take thy flight!
A little longer stay in sight!
Much converse do I find I thee,
Historian of my infancy !
Float near me; do not yet depart!
Dead times revive in thee:
Thou bring’st, gay creature as thou art!
A solemn image to my heart,
My father’s family!

Oh! pleasant, pleasant were the days,
The time, when, in our childish plays,
My sister Emmeline and I
Together chased the butterfly!
A very hunter did I rush
Upon the prey:—with leaps and spring
I followed on from brake to bush;
But she, God love her, feared to brush
The dust from off its wings.

William Wordsworth

Little Magpie

I know you love me

I sit on your window ledge

Watching you watching me

Little Magpie you call me

I like sitting on the telephone line

I like dropping our little presents on your car

Shiny cars we adore

No one can catch me

I know you love us

You worship us every weekend

Thousands of Geordies  do

Love you we do
